Cats who suffer from kidney disease, CRF and other conditions that result in dehydration, can benefit greatly from receiving subcutaneous fluids. The difference that it makes in their quality of life is truly remarkable. Think of how crummy you feel when you have a bad hangover. Your body is severely dehydrated, you feel weak, lethargic, nauseous and the last thing you want to do is eat. That is how they feel! On the outside it may appear that they have given up on life entirely but a good amount of the time they are just severely dehydrated! By helping their bodies stay hydrated with sub-q fluids, we are able to drastically improve the lives of our feline friends. Best of all, the results are instant, they feel better immediately!

If the thought of giving your kitty fluids yourself is a tad outside of your comfort zone, please know that you are not alone. The majority of cat parents prefer to have their furbabies fluids administered by a professional. But rather than putting yourself and your senior kitty through the stress of making multiple trips to and from the vet clinic every week, you can avoid the stress and have a professional come to you! As a former Veterinary Assistant of 8 years, I have extensive experience in this department and have been able to improve the lives of many kitties and their parents by providing this stress-free alternative.

While adhering to your veterinarians recommendations, Eugene Pet Nanny can administer sub-q fluids to your kitty as frequently as needed in the comfort of your own home. These visits are quick, convenient, affordable and stress-free for all involved. Busy work schedule? No problem! With your permission, I can even administer your kitty’s fluids while you are at work! Leaving town? No worries! I can also administer your kitty’s fluids during cat sitting visits! No matter your needs, I am here to help.

Please note: For your pets safety, Eugene Pet Nanny can only administer fluids if prescribed/ok’d by your Veterinarian. Prior to administration, Eugene Pet Nanny will need to call your Veterinary clinic to confirm amount and frequency.

With the comfort of being in his own home, the fluids being warmed to the perfect temperature, a small handful of his favorite treats and his favorite chin rubs, I am all finished with Kasper fluids before he even realizes what’s going on. This is how it should be. No stress, no hassle, no scary car rides.

Prior to finding out about Eugene Pet Nanny, Mustache had to travel to the vet several times a week for fluids. He hated every bit of. He was scared of the carrier, hated the car and fought the technicians. Now Mustache receives his fluids in the comfort of his own home. With treats and chin rubs, he purrs all the way through!

Testimonials
“Tasha has been my saving grace during this ordeal with my sick kitty. I think what she does is brilliant and it's a real need for pet owners. She comes every 2 days to administer subcutaneous fluids as my cat is now too weak to endure such trips to the vet and she's more affordable too. Having her come to my home has really helped me preserve my relationship with my kitty because he doesn't connect me so much with the procedure and is calmed by Tasha's soothing and gentle manner.

She's great about texting to either confirm appointments or letting me know if she's ahead or behind which I really appreciate. She's come to my house at all hours, I don't think she ever takes a day off.
I could tell in our first conversation how deeply she cares for animals and I really feel lucky to have found her.
I highly recommend using Tasha to spare you and your best buddy from the stress and even trauma going to the vet when you can have someone like her provide in home care.”

“Tasha is a true blessing! Our feline fur baby is nearly 19 years young and has a few health issues that requires subcutaneous fluids 2x a week plus a B12 shot. My partner and I have various disabilities that doesn't give us the best option of administering what our boy needs. We called on Tasha to be his nurse and she has truly been wonderful.

Having the option of in-home care for our boy has changed our (and his) world for the better. The stress of the carrier, car rides and the vet every week is no longer necessary! Tasha comes to our apartment twice a week and brings a warm, soft blanket just for him. She really takes the time to connect to our fur baby and she takes the time to connect with us as well.

Tasha answers any questions to the best of her ability. She's intelligent, patient, incredibly caring and professional. You can tell that she has a deep passion for animals and a lot of training and experience that has given her the tools she needs to provide the very best care. She keeps in weekly contact, checking on our boy and reminding us of appointments as well as offering a different time for her to come in as her schedule allows. We keep an odd schedule and Tasha is very accommodating!

Our fur baby likes Tasha and he's comfortable with her too. She's given all of us some peace of mind and the security of knowing she's there when we need her. Tasha has gone above and beyond her call of duty and we are so grateful to her! She's dependable, punctual and a good person with a heart of gold, a sharp mind and a gentle hand. We are blessed with more precious time with our fur baby because Tasha has made it so.

If you're looking for someone who is caring, professional and who treats your fur baby as an individual and not just another animal - then Tasha is who you need! We trust her with our fur baby and that is priceless. :)” - Stephanie M.
In Loving Memory of Colton
Colton touched my heart in a way that I will never forget. The first time I held Colton, he wrapped both paws around my neck, firmly pressing his face against mine. I could feel his heart beat and his gentle purr against my chest. In that moment, my heart melted. I stood there holding him, crying at the overwhelming amount of love and the immediate bond that we shared. I had only knew him for a few moments yet it felt as if I had loved him for a life time. I didn't want to ever let him go.... I had the honor of caring for Colton during his final weeks, providing hospice care when his mom had to leave town. I visited him four times a day to gently encourage him to eat, make sure that his food was always perfectly fluffed, make sure his favorite heating pad was always on the right temperature, administer his fluids, gently clean the litter out from between his precious little toes, make sure he didn’t get stuck in a corner (Colton was completely blind) and most importantly just sit with him, talk to him, softly sing his name to him and remind him that he wasn’t alone. I visited Colton several more times after mom returned from her trip to administer his fluids... But the last time I saw him, I knew in my heart that it was the last time. Mom and I just looked at each other and cried, there were no words to be said. I sat on the bathroom floor, holding him up on my shoulders for my last Colton-Hug. He rubbed his little nose back and forth nose across my cheek as I silently cried, not wanting to let him go. I felt as if he were telling me that it was ok, that he was ready for his wings....

It was such an honor to be a part of Colton's life and know that I was able to add some extra comfort and happiness during his final weeks. At the impressive age of 20, Colton gained his wings and made his journey over the rainbow bridge. Forever leaving paw prints on the hearts of all who knew him. I love you Colton. Run free my precious, precious friend.

What Our Clients Are Saying

“Words cannot express how amazing Tasha was, taking care of our pets while we were out of town. Our kitties got excellent care and attention, the house was spotless, and they didn't seem to mind too much that we were gone! I HIGHLY recommend the Eugene Pet Nanny. She also did nail trims and a routine vet visit while we were gone! We will use her for all pet care needs from now on.”
